Bargain Buys: I was struck by the seemingly negative tone of the author; in every previous article we've read, Germany seems to be ahead of the curve when it comes to public experiences. To describe cheap grocery stores as labyrinths to be battled through made me feel like shopping is not at all a pleasurable experience. Then again, given that the States is one of the only country with huge super markets, perhaps this author was just not accustomed to grocery stores existing for the sole purpose of getting food and getting out.

Autobahn: Man that sounds fun. Obviously whomever's driving would have to really know where they were going, and I feel like take leisurely drives would be much harder. To sum all the rules up, just follow the laws or else you WILL get punished.

Lines: This kind of sounds fun, like you always have to be on your toes. I imagine everything would be much more efficient with everyone just oriented towards getting to the head of line and getting business done. It would be a good contrast to here where people are in their own worlds, absorbed by phones.
