Kultur 2
After reading all of the articles, the last one about German universities and its students stood out to me. It seems that both German and American universities and their own similar and contrasting characteristics. Both enjoy clubbing/partying/grilling and other social activities. Additionally, German students live in dorms/apartments and take part-time jobs to make do. The same could be said for American students. On the opposite end of the spectrum, German students are significantly older than Americans, as the Germans students average from 23-30+ years old, while American students are in the late teens and early 20's. In addition to the article on the German students, the articles on Draftophobia and Mysterious Illness also share a similar property: both talk about German 'fears' that Americans might find odd, such as drafts and pills. Perhaps Germans are so afraid of drafts because they are too busy at the saunas? A very nice read, looking forward for more.
